Compact Optical Isolator

The optical isolator only allows the light to be transmitted in one direction, and its work depends on the Faraday effect, that is, the magneto-optical effect, so it is also called the Faraday isolator. Most of them are used with laser systems, so they are also called laser isolators.
Optical isolators are specially designed, compact in size, with high transmittance and low loss laser wavelengths. The single-stage isolator provides > 93% of transmission and >35 dB of isolation, and the two-stage isolator provides 60 dB of isolation and 85% of transmission. Compact optical isolators with UV-VIS infrared wavelengths ranging from 248nm to 1600nm are widely used in
1. Prevent unnecessary backreflection of laser and cavity optics
2. Optical diode, unidirectional light transmission
3. Prevent high power laser beam backreflection to laser cavity optical system damage
4. Protect the seed laser
5. Stabilize laser power by reducing backreflection interference and amplitude noise
6. Stabilize laser output spectrum to prevent mode jump or frequency shift
7. Two-stage isolators provide double isolation

Advantage:

  •  Compact size easily fit in optical paths

  •  Faraday isolator with high isolation

  •  High transmission with low loss

  •  High laser through out power and high laser damage resistant

  •  Isolators with high power handling option provide input and output rejecting beam   exits. Rejecting beam Exits (E) should be selected if forward laser >10 W or rejected laser power >1W or 0.1J/cm2 at 10ns. The I-1064-05E isolator can handle power 100W, 25kW/cm2, 10J/cm2 at 1064nm 10ns

  •  Dual-stage optical isolators provide double isolation up to 60dB

  •  Compact broadband and wide band optical isolators is available from 390nm to 1200nm. The isolation spectrum bandwidth is expanded 5X to 10X wider than that for standard optical isolators

  •  Compact Faraday rotator provides customer required rotation angle with high transmission of 98% to 99.8%

Key Parameters:

Optical isolators or Faraday rotators, with aperture size of 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm for every wavelength from 248nm to 1650 nm are all availble.
